    School Funding

Prop 123 adds education funding over 10 years to K-12 students and settles a lawsuit on K-12 funding between the legislature and public schools. The settlement includes money from the general fund and increased distributions from the State Trust Land, which exists to support public education. You must register by April 18, 2016 to vote in the special election.

    Prop 123 Fact Sheet

Desert Marigold School is a learning community where everyone grows. Guided by the core principles of Public Waldorf education, we seek excellence in every aspect of our work. Our developmentally sound, experiential approach brings educational experiences and content in an age-appropriate manner from pre-school through high school. Located on a beautiful, 12-acre campus at the foot of South Mountain, our biodynamic garden, protected nature pond, and resident farm animals give substance to our commitment to sustainability as an intrinsic part of our curriculum.

We are currently accepting applications for the Private Early Childhood Program & the K-12 Charter Program for 2016-17. Charter applicants will be added to the current waiting lists in most grade levels.

Desert Marigold is sustained by volunteers & donations. Help Bridge the Financial Gap with Family & Community Giving Pledge Programs.

Events & festivals are a fundamental element of Desert Marigold’s program. They celebrate life, the seasons & bring the community together.
