Ms. Heather graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a focus on Early Childhood. She taught for three years in the Tempe School District, Kindergarten and First Grade, before finding Waldorf Education. As soon as she visited Desert Marigold School she knew it was where her family belonged. In 2005 she began working at DMS in the Student Support Services department and her oldest daughter Kylie began kindergarten. She worked in Student Support Services as the lead teacher for six years before taking a position as the Starflower Kindergarten teacher. Upon taking the position in Kindergarten she began pursuing her Waldorf Teacher Training Certificate and is currently enrolled at the Michael Institute of Portland.
